What is this zine about?
"Bullet's Crescendo" is a Trigun zine that will focus on music and musical themes.
This can be canon-compliant (characters making or experiencing music in a canon environment) or AUs (like but not limited to band AU, idols AU, street music/art AU, etc).
It can be works where characters actively interact with music, it can be abstract, like inspired by lyrics or implied, like character studies what a character associates with music - as long as there is a connection/reference to music somewhere, you can pitch your idea.
There is also no limit on genres - from punk to folk to classical, we are happy to feature all ~Is this zine for profit?
Yes, this will be a for profit zine, meaning that all profits will be split among contributors.What does "all-inclusive" mean?
"Bullet's Crescendo" welcomes ALL creators with a love for Trigun.
We are aware of the controversies that come along with being an adult medium touching down on some difficult topics, but we wish for this zine to be a space to share love for Trigun and it's characters, not hate for some interpretations of them.
We will NOT tolerate antis, ship-bashing or any other form of hate that is based on fandom preferences.
Thus, working on "Bullet's Crescendo" can mean working with people whose interpretations you do not agree with and that is okay. The only thing the mods ask for, is for everyone to keep things civil and be mindful of general fandom etiquette (only share content that you know to be controversial in designated spaces and don't interact with said spaces when you know you won't like the contents discussed there).What will be the rating of the zine?
Due to TRIGUN being aimed at adults and canonically including a number of more sensitive topics, this zine will feature content 16+.
Violence and gore will be allowed to a canon-typical degree in the main zine, as well as potentially triggering topics that are discussed/mentioned in manga, TriMax and TriStamp.Thus, we require contributors to be 18+.Does this mean the zine is NSFW/SMUT?
The main, physical zine will NOT feature any explicit material above the levels of what is depicted in canon material.
Additionally, we aim to have a digital, NSFW side-zine which will contain explicit works both in regards to violence/gore and sexual content.
The side-zine will be "everything goes" with the following exceptions:
⁍ Loli/Shota
⁍ R*pe/Non-Con
⁍ Sexual situations involving explicitly underage characters
⁍ Glorification or positive depictions of abuse
These topics will not be allowed, neither in the main nor the NSFW zine.Will shipping be allowed?
For the main zine, we ask contributors to limit ships to implications only. The focus of the piece should lie elsewhere.
The side-zine will be "everything goes" with no restrictions on shipping.Will the zine be physical or digital?
The main zine will be physical.
The NSFW side-zine will be published as PDF.Will the zine feature physical merch products?
Yes, we will include a number of physical and digital merch items such as:
Art Prints (2), Sticker Sheets (2), Double Sided Bookmark, K-Pop Photo Prints (8), XXL Die-Cut Sticker, Iron-On Patch, Acrylic Charms with 3D effect (2), Acrylic Mini-Standees (4 - Stretch Goal), Printable Design, Phone Wallpapers (4).More questions?

Expectations
General
⁍ All contributors must be 18 years or older at the time results are announced.
⁍ All zine pieces must somehow relate to or be inspired by music.
⁍ We require a Discord account, as all communication will happen there.
⁍ You may apply to more than one role but will only be accepted for one (artist/writer/merch).
⁍ You may be accepted to both sides of the zine if you apply for both (SFW/NSFW)Writers
Application Requirements:
⁍ 3 samples + general portfolio.
⁍ 1.5–3k words per sample.
⁍ At least one complete sample.
⁍ At least one Trigun Sample.
⁍ If you do not have a Trigun sample (standalone or excerpt) you may submit a a spontaneous Trigun drabble as sample (min. 500 words).
⁍ Please make sure, that your samples are tagged and preceded with the appropriate warnings
⁍ You may submit NSFW samples on the SFW applications but we recommend that you reserve them for the actual NSFW application.
Zine Piece Requirements:
⁍ 1.5–3k words per piece.
⁍ If accepted into both, you can contribute a total of 2 fics (1 for the main zine, 1 for the NSFW side zine).Page Artists
Application Requirements:
⁍ 3 samples + general portfolio.
⁍ Samples must be fully rendered (characters + background + comprehensive lighting/shading -> highest level of finish that you can achieve).
⁍ The portfolio can also include spot arts, sketches or pieces with flat/without background.
⁍ The portfolio should include your 3 samples + minimum of 3 additional artworks (the more the better).
⁍ At least 1 piece in your portfolio must showcase Trigun characters.
Zine Piece Requirements:
⁍ 2 pieces of artwork.
⁍ 1 fully rendered illustration (page or spread) + 1 other piece of art.
⁍ The 2nd piece can be: another page illustration for the SFW or NSFW zine, a spot art for one of our writers or a merch art (eg. art print, digital printable, etc).Merch Artists
Application Requirements:
⁍ 3 samples + general portfolio
⁍ The samples must be examples of merch items / designs that can be used as merch
⁍ The portfolio should include your 3 samples + minimum of 3 additional artworks (the more the better).
⁍ The portfolio can also include non-merch art.
⁍ At least 1 piece in your portfolio must showcase Trigun characters.
Zine Piece Requirements:
⁍ 2 or more merch designs for either physical or digital merch.
⁍ Merch artists can request which items they would like to design/make suggestions, but the mods reserve the right to have the final say to make sure that we can provide a nice variety of items.
